Lindsey Wickard

Associate Professional Clinical Counselor

Caring for the holistic needs of people has lead Lindsey to work with the body (nursing), soul (Biblical studies), and spirit (counseling). She counsels with adolescents and their parents/guardians, adults, and pre-marital and married couples, with compassion for the unique challenges each person experiences. Having a down-to-earth approach, Lindsey incorporates elements such as thoughtful conversations, gentle humor, counseling-related books, music and lyrics, and interactive activities, to enhance therapeutic discussion and healing. She is happy to integrate Christian-based interventions such as Scriptures, Bible study, and prayer for those who desire this. Accelerated Resolution Therapy (“A.R.T.” eye-movement therapy) is offered for individuals facing challenges such as trauma, anxiety, depression, and more. The Prepare-Enrich assessment is used as a tool to prepare couples who are contemplating marriage, and to enhance relationships between those who are already married. Lindsey assists with conducting neurofeedback therapy sessions and is excited about the dynamic benefits this treatment offers.

Lindsey has enjoyed living in several different states while journeying through life with her husband, who is a pastor. This has given her the opportunity to grow as a person while in the company of many wonderful people. She finds herself having conversations about life’s challenges and joys with individuals in all stages of life. Church ministry has given her the privilege to lead worship services and learn some acoustic guitar. Lindsey can be found smiling when thrift shopping for treasures, sitting on the beach with a book, talking to her cats and dogs, and going on dates with her husband while exploring the beauty of southeast Georgia.
